【会议背景】

与传统的线性经济相比，循环经济是一种更具可持续性的替代模式，将进一步提高产业竞争力和资源效率。塑料的独特特性使它们能够在通往更可持续和更有效利用资源的未来的道路上发挥重要作用。此外，塑料在包装中的应用可以帮助减少食品浪费。然而，为了提高塑料的循环性，有必要确保越来越多的塑料垃圾被回收，而不是最终被埋在垃圾填埋场或环境中。

根据可靠的行业市场研究数据，只有14%的塑料被回收，这导致全球经济每年损失高达1200亿美元。近几个月来，一些全球最大的品牌和塑料制造商发出了大胆的挑战，要求利用塑料垃圾创建新的供应链。这是一个关键的开始，但为了成功实现这些目标，公司、政府、政策制定者和其他各方面广泛参与并促进全球合作，以创建一个真正的循环塑料经济。
